Self-care is not a luxury or selfish, it’s a necessity, and the more we make taking care of ourselves a priority the better our lives become.
How can we care for those we love and those we came to serve when we are depleted, exhausted, foggy brained, depressed, anxious, unfit and so on? How can we do the things we feel called to do and create a life we love living when our cup is empty?
To feel into which self-care practices are best for you personally, ask yourself:
What invigorates you?
What helps you relax?
What lifts your mood and brings you joy?
My ever expanding self-care treasure box helps me navigate lives inevitable storms and helps me keep anxiety and depression in check. Turning the gems inside my treasure box into habits helps me take ownership of my life and create a life that creates the space I need to heal, serve, grow and live fully.
Some of my personal favourite go-to tools are inside my Wee Wellness Bundle . If you scroll to the bottom of this page, you’ll find a list of the practices I use on a daily basis to feed my body, mind & spirit so they always get the care they need.
Here are few other self-care crackers that I loooove and highly recommend:
Getting a MASSAGE…
Massage helps me relax and soothes aches and pains.
Maybe you have a partner who’ll give you a massage? Or you prefer a pro? Have you tried self-massage?
Hanging out with the TREE’S
Trees never fail to lift my mood and soothe my soul.
Walk through the woods. Sit or lie and dream, draw, meditate, write…under a tree. Cuddle a tree. Talk to a tree.
Bath time!
Detoxify, purify, relax and rejuvenate, oh yeah…
Try adding this to you bathtub!
Bathtub Bliss
½ inch finely chopped fresh ginger
5 drops Lavender essential oil
5 drops Rose essential oil
1-2 tsp. fresh/dried lemon balm
2 cups of Epsom salts
